A Little Flamingo Thank You

The flamingo images on Tickled Pink (and coordinating thin dies) are so CUTE!! Wouldn't it be fun to get a little PINK thank you sporting a flamingo -- that was my thought when I was creating my June thank you cards

A value pack white daisy A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") card base to start. A 5" x 3 3/4" Pixie cardstock piece matted on a 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" black cardstock completes the first layer.

A 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" White Daisy piece will be the canvas for two flamingos stamped using the swiping technique - ink your image and then slide it across the ink pad and then stamp it. I wanted the look of feathers. The first step was to add the look of water with the light blue watercolor paint. Just a couple of strokes. Be sure and let your project dry before moving on, you can use your craft heater.

Now stamp your flamingos so their feet are in the water. I used Pixie ink for the bodies and Cotton Candy ink for the wings. Black ink for the legs and beak. Now on to stamp the sentiment, I chose 'Tickled Pink' from the Tickled Pink stamp set. I added the sun from this month's Stamp of the Month, A Long Way Home (S1606), which can be yours for only $5 with a qualifying order!!

And to finish, I added black squiggly lines for the look of movement in the water.

Mat this White Daisy cardstock piece to a 4 5/8" x 3 3/8" Black cardstock base.
