I love preparing FUN for my cropping people. This month is a football theme which meant a Bashful glitter football topper for one of the many goodies each attendee will receive.
Another FUN project is the recipe cards. I share a 4" x 6" recipe card featuring our lunch recipe. We are having Tacos in a Cup so I cut a taco and vellum cup to visualize this recipe.
Now to start on next month's Operation Smile Halloween Party Crop!! What Halloween fun ideas can you share?
In October, I will be featuring the Falling for You paper collection, so here is a little sneak peek.
This card is inspired by the Happy Day Cardmaking Workshop Your Way! I love the Workshop Your Ways because they include all you need to create your projects.
This is a faux shaker card created by taking a chipboard frame, I cut on my Cricut Air 2, and our NEW Vellum paper (love it is back) cut into a circle to capture Close To My Heart sequins minus there little glue dot backs.
Because the shaker box is thin, the sequins do not move as much so it looks like a shaker box!
Please enjoy, leave a comment as I do so love hearing from you.
And don't forget to add some love to the envelope. I added a sentiment to the inside too.
I love how easy peasy it can be to create cards. I always need a thank you card to share with my Close To My Heart customers and friends.
Here is a simple card (three versions) created using painters tape, sponge, inks, and two stamp sets - National Stamping Month stamp set From the Heart (CC1228) and the Stamp of the Month, Feel So Blessed (S1709).
Check out the video below to see how I made this card and the other three versions shared below.
In this version, I used Espresso, one of the nex basic colors for the flowers and sentiment.
To add a little texture, I dry embossed two lines above and below the stamped sentiment.
In this final version, I used Nutmeg, another of our new Basic palette colors, for the sentiment.
There was a request for how the contour worked in Design Space so today's video will share how to remove contours.
The contours of an image are the cut lines. Using the contour tool allows you to remove cut lines from an image.
This card shows how the rose overlay was duplicated and the contours of the flower removed to create a solid rose image (dark pink) for the background (light pink).
And remember the inside and envelope.
The video will share how to use the contour with a honeycomb image. I will share how to create the rose in a future video.
Enjoy and please leave a comment, I love to hear from you.
Okay it is technically Wednesday! There is so much inspiration shared by Close To My Heart consultants and here is my version of a card shared by Karen Barlow, a sister consultant.
I used the Merry Christmas (M1184), Gold Foil paper (new), and Fern, Ruby, and New England Ivy ink. I added some gold embossing for the berries to tie in the gold foil paper.
For the video to share the technique, I used Fall colors, Ruby, Poppy, Saffron, Fern, and Nutmeg.
And don't forget the inside and the envelope.
Enjoy and if you don't have a consultant and would like any othe products seen here, please click SHOP NOW!
I love how Close To My Heart is always there for community! We believe in the good that comes when we work together as a community. As the stamp set name states WE TRULY STRONGER TOGETHER!
In order to be able to support multiple needs, Close To My Heart has determined that proceeds from the sale of the Stronger Together stamp set will be donated to the Red Cross, which provides relief efforts to multiple disasters, and which will allocate the funds to where they are needed most.
All the proceeds - including the amount that would normally go toward paying commissions - from this stamp set will be donated to the Red Cross.
We now have an option for set canvas in the use of templates. The set canvas shapes have been added to Design Space 3 in the Template option found on the tool bar to the left of the canvas.
