A friend shared her version of a rocker card and I fell in love. A rocker card starts with circles. The base 5 1/2" circle cut from New England Ivy cardstock. A second 5" circle is cut from pattern paper, here I am using the New England Ivy pattern paper. 

The next pieces are the circles creating a place for the sentiment and embellishments. Here I changed it up a little. The original circles would be 3 3/4" cut from White Daisy covered by a 3 1/2" circle cut from the Beary Christmas poinsettia pattern paper. 

My version uses a scalloped 3 3/4" White Daisy cut on the Cricut with a 3 1/2" circle cut from the Beary Christmas poinsettia pattern paper.

And to finish, I added a poinsettia cut from the Flower Market Cricut collection with a stamped banner. I used the 'happy holiday' image from October's Stamp of the Month, Christmas Tunes (S1710).

Design Space Friday Adding Texture to Text

Welcome back to Design Space Friday. Today I am sharing how to put pattern inside text using a layered font and a spider web.

There were a few more additions to this possible scrapbook layout title.

Partial Die Cut Technique

Do you love to learn new techniques? There are so many videos showcasing new techniques, old technique, and old techniques revamped.

Jennifer McGuire recently shared a partial die cut technique featuring a sketch of Karen Werner. That got the ideas flowing.

Here you will see my versions - the Merry Christmas uses a Cricut Design Space 3 version created using free shapes and the Cricut Flower Market collection. Love that Slice and Dice!!

The second uses the Falling For Your Scrapbook Stamp set and coordinating Thin Cut flower image colored using the ShinHan markers Marigold and Golden Yellow. Add the stamp set Happy Day image So Grateful from the Happy Day Cardmaking Workshop Your Way and the card is almost complete.

Finish both cards with coordinating cardstock and embellishments.

This month, I am featuring Close To My Heart's Falling For You paper collection. It is perfect for those Fall and Thanksgiving projects.

The layout is for the last Scrap It Southern Style event of 2017. These events are so much FUN!
