I created a layout showing a sequence of photos where my grandson did not want his photo taken. He closed his eyes and began peeking to see if I was still there. The first version

I used vellum for journaling - who tells your story? It is as important to share the story or stories about the photo or photos. 

I love this smile and I want him to ALWAYS celebrate everything in his life!

The Colors of Gimme Some Sugar

My project is kind of special as it is my announcing that I have a fifth grandbaby on the way!! I am too excited!!

I used the pieced and stitched heart from a recent Close To My Heart Facebook page post to create the center heart. Gimme Some Sugar colors Linen, Tangerine, Bashful, Juniper and a little Peacock make up the heart sections. Not knowing whether we are having a girl or boy, I felt this color scheme could work for either.

The Faces of Emily

I found these great pictures of my Emily and thought how perfect would the blues of Gimme Some Sugar work with them.

Here is the one of the three layouts you can create with the Gimme Some Sugar Workshop Your Way

The photos were all landscape so I decided to be creative and use smaller photos and even one that ran over the mat. This leaves me with a little journaling space to add comments or embellishments for each photo.

I used a pink Cricut pen, that I had on hand, to journal as she once was my pink and purple girl. She is more into blue now.

Design Space Friday - Curved Text

Yes it is finally here, curved text! I am so excited! Here is my first project using curved text. I took an overlay from the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut collection and began to build.

Starting with the word Tropical which I curved in the circle photo well. After which, I welded the base from Paradise from the Close To My Heart You Are Here Cricut collection to complete the title. I added several beachy items to several of the photo wells to finish the overlay.

I see so many possibilities with curved text.
