Paste-fully Creative - CTMH Technique Blog Hop
Texture Paste FUN is the technique used this month for the CTMH Technique Blog Hop. If you have hopped from Katy Taylor's blog, you are on the right track.
My project started with Design Space where I found a butterfly image I liked. By duplicating the image and sizing each one, it began to look like a great stencil of flying butterflies.
I selected the group of butterflies and attached them so they would cut together to create the stencil I wanted. I used White Daisy cardstock so I would get a thicker stencil. You can use this stencil once or twice more as the cardstock will begin to show wear from the texture paste. However, you can save the stencil image in Design Space for future stencils or more (look for what I did with the butterfly die cut images leftover from the stencil).
Next using one of the blue hues in our watercolor paints and the medium flat waterbrush, I created the background to look like the sky.
The sentiment is from Bunches of Love (D1815) stamp set. The floral pattern on the envelope is from this same stamp set. The images are perfect for coloring or use it with the faux watercolor base images from the stamp set to give your project a watercolor inspired look.
And don't forget the inside.
Thank you so much for stopping by. If you liked what you saw here check with your Close To My Heart consultant. If you don't have one, I would love to serve as yours.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! I think you need to cut your stencil with the stencil material so that you can reuse it many, many times!
